September brings the start of the school year, as well as a renewed sense of purpose. Those lazy days of summer are over, and it's time to take out our cold-weather layers and get to work, preparing for the cold months that lead us back through to Spring.
That's not to say that Fall is all work and no play! In the beautiful fire-leaf hued time of year, there are so many familiar creature comforts that make those rainy days and chilly nights downright homey. Not least among these are the warm spices and autumn-inspired flavors that begin cropping up all over. Pumpkin Spice latte, anyone?
