A Word About Fiber

I don’t know about you, but for the longest time I associated fiber with old people and their bowel issues.

But fiber isn’t just for the aging, and it isn’t just about staying regular. Plus, you can get more fiber in your diet without any yucky, chalky supplements or powders. Fruits, veggies, legumes and whole grains—all Bizzy Lizzy staples—are excellent sources of fiber.
Simply put, fiber is just the part in plant foods that humans can’t digest. This serves as roughage in your digestive tract and, yes, helps to “move things along.” But adding more fiber to your diet can also reduce cholesterol, improve blood sugar levels (great news for diabetics!), reduce the risk of heart disease and aid in weight management.
Our two main ingredients—flax and whole grain oats—are guaranteed to give you the fiber boost you need. And if you choose a fruit or veggie option, like our fruit and veggie granola—you’ll get that much more of your daily fiber fill. Trust us, it’s a good thing, no matter what your age.
